I'm working on perfecting a Chocolate Chia Pudding recipe for the site, but it's not quite there yet. My test run is pretty tasty though! The flavour is dea on, but the texture isn't the right rich and smooth and velvety goodness you want in a pudding. I'll make it happen though! Promise! Instead I'm going to share one of my greatest loves! The Lärabar! They are pretty much one of the only processed foods I simply cannot live without! Also, what is lovely is that not only can I read all of the ingredients in the bar, but the list is very short. Lärabar is true to their trademark slogan: Lärabar LÄRABAR® is a delicious blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. Made from whole food, each flavor contains no more than nine ingredients. Pure and simple, just as nature intended. Not to mention, they are so freakin' tasty! I've never really been a sweet fiend or anything, but I love chocolate. And I gotta say, their cocoa coconut chew bar satisfies that craving ten fold! The best part? What is in it? Dates Almonds/Walnuts Cocoa Powder Dried Coconut... Yup, that's all folks! No added sugars, salts, preservatives or gums, or added oils. Go shopping, add these lovely things to your life. Or, wait a bit and I will try to recreate them homemade.

Oh the sweet foggy Maritime's is givin' me the blues b'yyyyy. It boosted my energy levels until around 5 pm, when I got off work and it was down-pouring rain, dark and dreary out.
1/2 avocado 1 banana 2 cups spinach juice of 1 orange 1/2 cup mixed berries 1 Tbsp Maca Root powder 1 Tbsp protein powder 2 Tbsp Hemp hearts top up with your choice of vegan milk or coconut water. Looking forward to tomorrow morning now! My apology for not posting yesterday. ;) I've been creating dishes and yet having no time to publish them. I also had a couple of failed attempts that I thought were not worth sharing! This dish, however, is far from failed! So tasty! Pretty simple to make too, very similar to the Apple Rhubarb crumble. The filling: 2 cups of berries - Mine were a mix of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries strawberries and pomegranate seeds. 1/2 cup rhubarb 1 apple chopped Cook down until fruit is falling apart. The Topping: 6 dates 1/3 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup ground cacao nibs 1/3 cup hemp hearts 1 cup oats Assemble and try to share! Om nom! I had mine with a lovely Oolong tea!
Back at work experimenting. My co-worker is a vegetarian and is always ordering the fantastic Veggie Scramble that is on the Trellis breakfast menu. This particular morning was a little slow and I decided to go vegan on her scramble. (They usually add an egg to the mix to hold it all together) In place of the egg I ground up some cashews real fine. I also changed the recipe up a bit for some fun. So.. About 4 or 5 mushrooms chopped up real fine. 4 kalamata olives chopped 2 Tbsp diced red onion 1 cup chopped fresh spinach 2 sliced sun-dried tomatoes 1/3 cup quinoa 1 minced garlic clove S+P pinch savory, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp tumeric And of course, 1/3 cup super fine ground cashews. I also added a couple cashews cut bigger for a crunch. I got a little photo happy this fine morning!
